Description
The International Shaw Society and The Shaw Festival welcome presenters and attendees to the 20th annual summer Shaw Symposium, which will take place July 21-23 in Niagara-on-the-Lake, ONT, Canada. Zoom access can be provided for those who cannot attend the in-person panels.
Focused on Bernard Shaw’s works, his contemporaries, and his legacies, this Symposium features new scholarship relating to plays included in the Shaw Festival’s 2023 season.
Our panel sessions include presentations treating the plays that will be performed during the Symposium: Shaw’s The Apple Cart and Village Wooing, as well as John Millington Synge’s Playboy of the Western World.
